Holiday Gift Guide #4: Jet Setter

Happy Friday! I hope y’all had a wonderful week!

I had two days of continuing legal education this week and my brain is fried! I’m so exhausted and the fact that it starts to get dark at four o’clock does not help matters. The time change gets me every. single. year.

Can you believe it is December? Ready or not — there are only 24 days until Christmas Day! I’m back with another gift guide — this time I’ve rounded up gifts perfect for the jet setter! Enjoy!

Cork Globes — pin point all your favorite adventures on this adorable cork board globe.

111 Places to See in New York — I bought this book a few months ago and I love reading about all of the interesting places that are off the beaten path.

Travel Essential Oil Diffuser — I am obsessed with my essential oil diffuser. I love using the lavender oil before bed. Having one of these to take on trips would be amazing!

Travel Candles — I like to bring a travel candle with me when I am staying in a hotel room. Some hotel rooms have weird smells and it is nice to have a familiar scent when I am far from home.

Passport Cover — You can’t miss this bright passport cover in your purse next time you’re traveling overseas!

Suitcase — I have this carry-on and I love it! I’ve used it at least once a month for the past 3 years and it is still in amazing shape!

Travel Size Perfumes — I hate to check my luggage, so that means I need travel sizes of my favorite toiletries and cosmetics. Don’t lose your favorite perfume to TSA.

Coola Sunscreen Sample Set — This is my favorite sunscreen. Perfect for anyone on your list heading to a tropical locale in the upcoming months.

Travel Journal — I love journaling and having one specific for travels is a fabulous idea!

Holiday Gift Guide #2: Hostess Gifts

Whenever I go to someone’s house for dinner or a party, I always try to bring a little something for the host or hostess. It takes a lot of effort to plan a nice event, even if it appears to be a casual soiree or the hostess seems stress free.

I’m heading to my sister’s house for Thanksgiving and you can be sure I’m packing an extra present or two for her! She makes hosting people look easy and always sets up an incredible breakfast spread each morning!

Here are some of my favorite gifts to give the gracious host or hostess…

One: Candle — This is my favorite candle of all time. It smells so good! You can’t go wrong with giving a candle!

Two: Monogrammed Throw — This is a beautiful blanket and would make a sweet gift.

Three: Cheese Labels — These are too cute! These would be perfect for anyone who loves to serve up a good cheese plate.

Four: Peppermint Bark — If you don’t know your host or hostess very well, you can’t go wrong with peppermint bark from Williams Sonoma. This stuff is so addictive — you’ll likely earn yourself an invitation to all future events!

Five: Door Mat — I love this cheeky doormat! This would make a great gift to the hostess with a sense of humor.

Six: Tea Towel — I love to pair tea towels with hand soap for a sweet and practical gift.

Seven: Marble and Wood Serving Tray — These serving boards make a great gift for the hostess who does a lot of entertaining.

Eight: Coasters — These coasters have cute sayings and tell your hostess that you’re not about to leave a ring on her coffee table!

Nine: Wine Bag (and of course, a bottle of wine!) — Wrap up your favorite bottle of wine in a chic wine bag. I like to gift wine from vineyards I have visited with a note telling the hostess about my trip to the winery and why I think they’ll love it too!

Holiday Gift Guide #1: My Wish List

Happy Saturday y’all! The weather has finally cooled off in San Antonio and it feels like fall has arrived. And that cooler weather means Christmas is just around the corner — only 44 days away! Sometimes picking out the perfect Christmas gift can be really stressful, which is why I’ve got 25 days of gift guides coming your way to give you lots of ideas!

I’m kicking off the gift guides with my own wish list! Making my list made me feel like a kid again with the toy catalogue and a magic marker. This year’s list ranges from a cute, french bulldog mug to a beautiful pair of high heels, and everything in between. My list from last year included a French Bulldog that looks an awful lot like Fred! 🙂

What’s on your wish list?

One: Gray Coat — I’ve had my eye on this coat for quite some time. The only problem is — I don’t get to wear a coat very often in San Antonio — which is why it is on my wish list and not in my closet.

Two: French Bulldog Watch — I love all things Kate Spade and French Bulldogs and this watch is too cute!

Three: Heels — I wear heels everyday to work, so I am always searching for a new pair to add to the collection. This t-strap pair is both sophisticated and fun — perfect for the office and dinner after work.

Four: Candle Holder — Chip and Jo’s line Hearth and Hand hit Target earlier this week and I can’t stop thinking about this candle holder. The little box on the bottom opens up and seasonal decor can be added and changed out.

Five: Leopard Vest — I actually splurged and ordered this vest for myself! It was too beautiful to pass up and will go with everything this holiday season.

Six: French Bulldog Beanie — Can it get any cuter? I would wear this little hat on my morning walks with Fred!

Seven: French Bulldog Mug — Have you caught on to the theme yet? These mugs are wonderful quality and the little painted puppy on the front makes it extra special!

Eight: Productivity Planner — I’ve read so many good things about this planner and I am wanting to try it ASAP! It is a journal/planner/to-do list! I’m all about getting stuff done, so this would make a great gift for me!

Nine: Perfume Sampler — I love Tocca perfumes and I tend to gravitate towards smaller sized bottles, because I can never make up my mind well enough to splurge on a big bottle!

Happy Holidays!

A Baby Sprinkle and Baby Gift Guide

Last month when I was in California visiting my family, my sister had a “Baby Sprinkle” to celebrate her new baby girl.

I had never heard of a “Baby Sprinkle” before, but it is a similar to a baby shower, but on a smaller scale. The mama-to-be doesn’t typically register for gifts, and the gifts that are brought are less elaborate than for the first born, with the assumption that mom doesn’t need quite as much as she did the first time around. The guest list is also smaller, with close friends and immediate family receiving invites.

My sister’s sister in-law hosted the event and it was absolutely beautiful! If y’all live in Northern California and need event planning services, you’ll want to check out K & J Wedding and Event Coordination.

The perfect way to greet guests.

A Biscuit Bar is an adorable brunch option, complete with homemade jams and gravy!

And a Yogurt Parfait station is a sweet and healthy addition.

It was a beautiful party and I am so happy I was in town to attend. I only wish I had brought something other than my iPhone with me for photos because the set up was incredible!

Since I now have two nieces and a nephew, and my sister’s new little girl to arrive in October, I’ve gotten pretty good at baby gift giving! Here are a few of my favorites…

One | Monogrammed Name Print: I ordered this two years ago for the baby shower I hosted for my sister’s first baby. It is a customizable image that is delivered to you via pdf. I had it printed and framed. It doubled as both party decor and a gift.

Two | Diapers: You can’t go wrong with bringing a pack of diapers to a baby shower. You know they will get used and most parents are more than happy to receive diapers as a gift.

Three | Sophie the Giraffe Teether: I bought this for my niece and it was a huge hit! It is the teether on the market right now, from what I have heard from my friends with kids. Plus, it is pretty cute!

Four | Jelly Cat Stuffed Animals: I love these stuffed animals. They are so soft and the sweet animals have the cutest little faces! I have purchased one for each one of my nieces and nephews and all the kids just love these stuffed animals!

Five | Good Night City Books: These books are so cute! I love sending them to out of town friends and family, as the Good Night San Antonio book showcases monuments and landmarks where I live. There are books for most states and major cities!

Six | Honest Company Products: I’ve heard so many good things about Honest Company from my friends and family with children.

Seven | Diaper Bag: If I ever have kids, this is the diaper bag I would choose!

Eight | Baby Lit Books: If you are a book nerd like me, then you’ll love these literary classics boiled down to a  children’s board book. The books have various themes like, counting, colors, emotions, and weather. They even have an Emma book, based on the Jane Austen classic, that I just bought for my new niece who will be named Emma.
